Healthcare Innovation Centre
Center for Sundhedsinnovation is a knowledge and advisory centre under Herlev Hospital and the Capital Region of Denmark. CSI was established on 1 August 2009. CSI is a strategic initiative that seeks to help improve quality and efficiency in the healthcare service. It helps to expand and disseminate the innovation work in progress in the Region’s 14 hospital units comprising 40.000 employees. The focus is on employees and patients in order to ensure there is innovation where improvements and renewal are most needed. Central to the work is the involvement of employees, patients, designers and the business community in development projects for products, services and types of organisation in order to ensure innovative thinking, quality and usability. The Healthcare Innovation Centre is funded by the Regional Growth Forum of the Capital Region of Denmark as well as the hospitals of the region.
