In-JeT is involved in energy research projects because we want to strengthen our knowledge base and demonstrate new, innovative consumer-centric applications for energy consumers . Leading-edge technologies are the driving force for the development of the Green Energy Transitions and the tremendous growth in need for safe, robust and optimized flexibility in energy consumption combined with new forms of energy consumer communities. We want to go beyond just understanding the flexibility– we want to make it acceptable to all stakeholders!

Through our energy research and innovation projects we also get to understand how accurate forecasting applications can be build using new technologies such as AI and hybrid modeling. And further to understand, how the potential flexibility can be traded on the markets and actually delivered when need to stabilize the grid operations.

The main aims of our research activities are:

  • to increase our knowledge of applications and services for the Green Energy Transition, such as energy efficiency, inclusion of renewable energy sources, smart buildings and green buildings, remote monitoring, carbon footprint recordings, etc.;
  • investigate energy consumers behavior and motivations and help them save energy and even out energy consumption;
  • to understand the technological challenges associated with forecasting flexibility and the resulting impact on consumers and grid actors;
  • to understand the energy business systems and develop the proper business models that present convincing and sustainable business cases to stakeholders and decision makers.

Below is a list of our past and present Green Energy Transition projects:
